ALCP Intensive English Program

If you need to improve your English skills, you can begin your studies with the American Language and Culture Program to ensure you can still progress to the GSSP and your desired major. The mission of the American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) is to provide non-native speakers of English with the linguistic, academic, social and cultural skills necessary to successfully navigate university environments in the United States.

Conditional admission for all undergraduate programs and several graduate programs


Age requirements

UI does not accept students under 16 years of age at the start of the GSSP.

Students between 16 and 17 years of age must have parental/guardian consent to attend the UI GSSP. Application forms must be signed by a parent/guardian.

This school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
